Vegas (finally)

So we didn't take hardly ANY pictures while we were in Vegas...but here they are. Really - this is it! How sad!

We had an amazing time and were so blessed to have 5 nights away at the Wynn (which is OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZING!) and enjoyed all of the NASCAR parties & events. Check out the pictures of our room! We also were able to meet Emeril Lagasse and go back into his kitchen with Carl! Thank you NASCAR & AFLAC for treating us right all week!

5 months!!!

Today is Lil' Mans 5 month bday! I really can't believe it. He said he would give his perspective again next month on what is going on in his world...I'll take over this month!

What is crazy is that we were in Texas for a whole month - alot of "firsts" happened while we were gone! Enjoy lots of pics below. He's getting so big and cuter by the second!

• We are still breastfeeding...and no cereal just yet! And usually it is still every three hours although some days we stretch 4 hours!
• He still takes naps between every feeding - however lately he wakes up after about 45 minutes and REFUSES to go back to sleep. I don't go in there for 15 minutes and I just listen to him cry - so sad. Then I try and give him the paci - sometimes is to works and sometimes it doesn't. Will he eventually sleep longer! I want my personal time :)
• Lil Man is still a great night time sleeper (we did have a few HORRIBLE nights earlier this week once we got back home). He sleeps around 11-12 hours every night.
• WE QUIT SWADDLING him this week. I was really nervous to do it, but he has transitioned well (except for during nap time!)
• He like to sit up like a big boy!
• He LOVES to stand up! Seriously - the kid could lock his legs and stand on your lap or any surface forever. It makes him look so big!
• Smiling - he loves to smile!
• We put together the exersaucer and he seems to like it. I think he finally got comfortable with it today because he kept hitting the rolling rattle and laughing - adorable!
• HE CAN ROLL OVER!!! We posted a video of it below.
• Now that he can roll over - he likes to roll to the side so he can watch whatever is on TV. I don't ever put him to where he can see it, but I he will roll, twist, turn...anything he can do to stare at it! It's actually pretty funny - this picture below is his "position" to find it!
• He seems to enjoy the Christmas spirit and LIGHTS!

• We only last about 15 minutes doing anything - then we move on to another activity or toy....after his "playtime" this is what the living room looks like!

• He still looks like Chuck!
• He definitely has to be teething - the more in his mouth - the happier he is! He loves these keys that the Majors gave him!
• Toes - Lil' Man discovered them...and grabs them constantly...
• I've discovered away for him to play with his toys - I plop him in the bumbo with the tray on it - and put the toys on the tray (this has been VERY helpful the past few days!)
• And in GROSS news - we had our first really smelly, intense, explosive poo. I really want to post pictures (yep - we took them because we were laughing so hard...and somewhat proud), but I won't. For once, the pictures did justice to something. People - it was coming out the FRONT! I have never seen anything like it. Had to share

I'm having alot of anxiety about being a mom lately. I feel so unprepared for the next steps...moving to four hours, starting food, scheduling, taking away naps, cutting teeth....what to do during playtime?!! Anyone feel me?!

Seriously, I have spent lil' mans ENTIRE nap this morning going through pretty much every post. I heart this lady and all her decorating. I am SO inspired...if I only had play money to go buy lots of fabric, paint and yard sale finds...enjoy!

November Part 1

November started out with a week in Texas and then I was off to Oklahoma for a week! I had so much fun - check out pics HERE!

Then I came back to Texas and after another week - CHUCK FINALLY came to join us in Texas after a month of traveling. We were so happy to have daddy back (and I was happy to have someone to cuddle with again at night!). For Christmas, we surprised my step dad and took him to tour Cowboys Stadium the day before Thanksgiving. We were lucky to be there while Daughtry was having his run-thru for the halftime show!

Woah...

It's been a LONG month, but so amazing! MANY blogs to come since I took a break for a month, but I just sat down with my coffee to take a break from unpacking, laundry, cleaning, organizing...to share with you a few pictures.

We drove all day yesterday back from Texas to Georgia. Incredibly, it took a little over 12 hours...with a 5 month old! My mom said she has never made it in less than 13 and she has drove it many times!!! We went about 75 mph the whole trip and only stopped TWICE! Lil' Man was a trooper...we never heard a PEEP out of him until 3 minutes before we pulled in the driveway.

So - this is a picture of our car all packed...

Thank goodness Lil' Man never needed me because I don't know where I would have sat in the back seat. There was literally not a single spot in the car we didn't use for "stuff".

And this is what I have to deal with now...

I feel helpless and overwhelmed. I don't know if I will ever be able to finish laundry or put away each little individual item from the trip. WOAH.

From being with family Texas & Oklahoma and visiting with friends all over too...then our VEGAS trip...we had so much fun, but it is nice to be home!!! BUT - just 2 short weeks from today we are on the road again...which is why I will not be decorating for Christmas this year :(.

Texlahoma!!!

Hey peeps - it's Knox here! Mama and me are having so much fun and we have been here almost 2 weeks. We sure miss daddy though and can't wait to see him very soon. I have spent alot of time being held by family and meeting many of mama's friends. I haven't gotten alot of rest though because mama has me "on the go" with her constantly!!!

We spent the first week and a half in Texas and stayed with Mimi and Papa Roy and then with Aunt Tor Tor, Uncle Meigs, Kiki and SterBer! They all love me so much and take such good care of me. They even let Mama go out at night and play with her friends. Here are some highlights of our time in Texas!!! Mama was REALLY lazy the first week and forgot to get her camera out and take pics with Mimi and Papa Roy and the Millers (sorry family - good thing we have alot more time for pics!)
