So...one of the things I wanted for my birthday was to give a little makeover to our master bedroom. It started with moving some of the furniture around. I LOVE IT NOW! It feels so much bigger. (Selfishly, it was also really difficult the way the bed was for me to maneuver at night to the bathroom and now it is a straight shot!!). I also wanted new bedding...I had a TON of gift certificates STILL left over (3 years later) from our showers and wedding to Pottery Barn so I thought why not use them! We aren't going to register at PBKids for baby stuff - so I wanted to use them on me :). I hunted and hunted and finally decided on some bedding. Here is the dilemma. Now I can't decide if I actually like my old stuff. The problem with the old (also Pottery Barn) is that I could never find a bed skirt to match and our bed sits up really high..so we need one to cover up the box springs. I also couldn't figure out a color to paint the walls or curtain color...uhhh.
Now with the new...I love it. It is totally different than the old. It is soft, relaxing....BUT....I don't know what color to paint the walls or the color to do curtains....CAN ANYONE HELP ME??!! My sister gave me her opinion and I'm just not ready to make a decision.
What's your opinion - HELP ME OUT!! Normally I don't struggle with decorating this much :(

first of all..it makes me laugh that we have the same backgrounds on our blogs! of course we do. HA!
1. we have the same kind of bed in our guest room...i didn't put a skirt on it...i just put another fitted sheet over the box springs! i think that those kind of bed look clean without the skirt!
2.i have looked at the same comforter in the brown from PB! i think that you should do some darker blue pillows mixed in on the bed...do a darker khaki on the walls...and do darker blue curtains to match those dark pillows!

Yes, definitely a warm khaki color, but I would add in chocolate brown pillows or you can even do a chocolate brown accent wall.
Curtains you could do a chocolate or find some cute fabric that has brown and blue in it and make curtains, or have them made!
I use plain white bedskirt since it goes with everything.
I'm LOVING the ideas. Keep them coming.
BER - we got the bed at one of those cheapo furniture places! It's the best and we paid a ridiculous amount for the bed, dresser and night stand!!
I like the old bed set because it is brighter. However, I have no idea about the paint colors and such, because I am not a decorator. I like the new one as well, but it is almost too soft for the boldness of the dark bed. I know I'm not much help, but those are my thoughts : )
