Chuckles bday weekend

(by the way - i have been very behind on this...his birthday was LAST FRIDAY!!)

I have so many FUN pictures from last weekend, but I am only going to choose...a...few...to share with you!

Last week was a very sad week as my family lost our matriarch....my Mama Ann. She went to be with the Lord 3 years after my Papa. She had battled cancer for many years and was time for her to go to heaven - what an amazing time she must be having. It was so sweet to be with family and make some great memories together while we were all in town together. So here was our run-down of last week!!

Tuesday night: My mom and step-dad got in town and stayed with us. We sure enjoyed having them at house before they went to my aunts!

Wednesday: Trace & Jeni (bro and sis-in-law) made the trek from OKC and were able to stay with me for 2 nights! Sadly, this is the ONLY picture I got with them...
Wednesday Night: We had two visitations for my Mama Ann and were able to go to her house and enjoy some good people had brought by. People really loved my Mama Ann. We took lil' man with us and he was SUCH a trooper.

Thursday: The funeral was Thursday morning and was such a blessing. Although tears were shed and my heart ached, we celebrated a life of a woman who loved the Lord and never let a day go by without writing someone a sweet hand written note!! We were emotionally exhausted so came back to my house and enjoyed and evening with the Majors.

Friday: We woke up and celebrated Chucks birthday....how better to do it than with homemade breakfast taco's....YES PLEASE!
Friday Night: Unfortunately Trace & Jeni had to get back to OKC for their kiddos, but the rest of us got together for a night of family fun!!! We took MANY pictures from this night, but the two I will share of are the guys...
and the girls...
I am so richly blessed with amazing family and have been so lucky to live near my Atlanta family the past four years. If only I was a millionaire and could build a compound with all my family - true happiness for me (and lets be honest...free babysitting anytime I would want it!)

While we with my family, my best friend and her hubs, Jordan, got to our house to spend the weekend with us. She was on her big RESIDENCY INTERVIEW tour across the South East and they spent two nights with us!

Saturday: We went to the Aquarium - heck yes! If you don't live in Atlanta and ever visit - put this on your list. It is awesome!!!
Sunday: Well, you'd think I'd rest, but I sang at all three services at church, then we made lunch for Sarah and Jordan and had small group Sunday night.

Monday: nope, no rest...I had about 6 loads of laundry, had to clean out my closet from shoving everything in it while we had guests, then did some more laundry, cleaned the house, dishes, cleaned bathroom, changed sheets....AND cooked Chuck is birthday meal...WOAH - THANK YOU PIONEER WOMAN!!! Check out the recipes here and here (they won't disappoint)
Would I trade my busy life for anything? NO WAY!!! I am so thankful for all the moments I shared with my peeps last week. Family - you are welcome anytime...and Sarah and Jorday - COME BACK SOON!!!!
