Why is it that at the end of summer every year I crave cold weather. I get excited about jeans, boots, sweaters...but then the weather comes and I can't believe I ever wanted this kind of weather!
Everyday is a struggle and this is how it goes -
I don't want to get out of bed, because I'm all warm and cozy and it's chilly in the house. I definitely don't want to get in the shower because although I take REALLY hot showers, it is miserable to get out...because I'm freezing when I do. Getting dressed is a hassle because our closet stays cold and so my clothes are cold. Usually I go and put my clothes in the dryer before I put them on. Sad, I know. Then, getting out the door to go to work is difficult because as cold as it is outside, it's always colder in your car. I only drive 6 minutes to work so by the time my car finally warms up - I am getting out!
Then it continues at night. I get home and would love to put on comfy clothes, but those clothes would be cold so I stay in my work clothes under my nap blanket on the couch. My nap blanket goes everywhere with me. The worst of the day comes at night. I dread putting on my pj's because they are cold and the worst of it all is working up the courage to get in bed. We have amazing sheets, but they stay extremely cold. Usually Chuck has to force my blanket away from me and put it in the dryer before I get in bed so I can wrap up in it under the sheets. Isn't he great!! The things he does for me.
Tonight, I was doing some laundry and I took it out of the dryer and put it all on the couch to fold...lo and behold, I snuggled up under all the warm clothes - I could have stayed here for hours!!
Please tell me I am not the only one who struggles daily with this??!

i'm the SAME way... although nothing could keep me from getting into my pj's as soon as i get home!
Someone get the woman a snuggie! She needs the fleece blanket with sleeves!

ok--totally can relate---however the fireplace is my retreat. I sit by the fire till my back is so hot that when I run to the chair and sit back it hurts---I know I am crazy too!
I am the exact same! Except I haven't gone to the extreme of warming a blanket to go to sleep with, yet! But that gives me a great idea tonight! :) The coldness that occurs when you get out of the shower is the WORST! -so glad you started a blog!
