Last Weekend...

This past weekend we traveled over one state to Greenville, SC - a place I absolutely love!  One of Chuck's really good college friends was getting married - Meridyth!  Chuck was so honored that she asked him to read scripture in the wedding.

After several "potty" stops for me during the, yes...2 hour drive...we made it there!  Friday night we stayed with some good friends Jane & Heath.  We got ready and were off to the rehearsal and then dinner - boy was it some yummy food!!

We met some more friends, Mary Beth & Russell, for lunch in downtown Greenville.  We at ate Smoke on the Water - and let me just tell you - it was some RIDICULOUS food! They had the most INCREDIBLE mac & cheese.  Next to hot dogs - this has to be my other favorite food!  The we walked down to the river.  Downtown Greenville is absolutely beautiful...so of course we snapped some shots before Chuck had to PULL ME UP the stairs and massive mountains (small inclines) to get back to street level.  Who knew pregnant people had this much trouble getting up inclines?! oh my!

We headed to Mary Beth & Russell's to get ready for the wedding and after a short cat nap - we were off!  It was such a fun weekend catching up with many of Chucks Furman friends...

(Chuck & Meridyth)
(The Flannagans & The Snipes)

And, OF COURSE, we couldn't leave G-Vegas without seeing our dear friends Brad & Anna and their new baby Paisley (cutest puppy ever!).  So sad we didn't get pics with them...

I hope you all are having a great week! I am off to DALLAS this weekend for my first baby shower!  Can't to see all my friends and family and takes LOTS of pictures!

Look at our Azaleas!!! Aren't they beautiful??!

Dinners on the Patio

I am so lucky.  After long days at work...often this is what I get to come home to...
A relaxing dinner on the patio w/ tiki torches, yummy smelling grill, cranberry juice in my big red wine glass...does life in the spring get any better?

27 weeks!

I can't believe I am 27 weeks and only have 12 1/2 weeks left until baby Flannagan is born!

Also - at what point was someone going to tell me that my KNEES were going to get fat? Seriously, I am struggling here - I have a passionate obsession with Carrie Underwoods legs, specifically her knees  and this is just not cool what has happened to me!  One day...one day...I will have Carrie Underwood knees...just not in the next year probably! I mean really - are her legs even real?

Yes - I am sharing a pic of my knees because I just don't know what has happened and my friends that aren't yet pregnant should know this happens!

But there is hope, because if Carrie can do it - we can do it too!

Day 'O' Birthday Parties!!!

What a fun morning / afternoon we had!  We got to celebrate two of our friends childrens birthdays today....Ellie (2) and Jack (1).  We had so much fun seeing our friends, although I think Chuck was a little overwhelmed with all the kids running around jacked up on cake!

Happy Birthday Ellie!!! We loved your "Cinnamon Rolls & Chocolate Milk" birthday party - (the preggers girl LOVED IT!!!)

Happy Birthday Jack!!!

Finally - it feels like a baby room!

We spent a few hours each night this week after work painting the baby room!  Everything is done, but the white shelves which still need another coat and all the trim work done, but WOW it looks so much better and finally feels exactly how I wanted it to feel...

Now if my bedding will just come in soon!!! I can't wait to see how it turned out!

Loaded Easter Weekend!!!

What a fun and busy weekend! Chuck's parents came in town to spend Easter with us and Saturday they helped us get our yard in shape and helped me realize..."hey, I may have a little bit of a green thumb after all!".  We moved plants around the yard, started our garden, created a flower bed around a tree and Chuck's mom surprised me and the day before while I was at work, made a flower bed bordering the back of our house!!!
Chuck and his dad planting my Hydrangeas!!!!
The flower bed on the back of the house - Thanks to Chucks mom!!
The flower bed I created all by myself around the tree!
Our garden...tomatoes, red / yellow peppers, carrots, spinach, lettuce, basil and cilantro!!

After a day of gardening we went to the braves game and it was so fun as usual...and it was OPENING weekend in Atlanta!
And then Easter Sunday came.  We are truly blessed with the most amazing Church and pastor!  If you live near us and don't have a church home...visit Vinings Lake!  Then, after church we went over to grill out with The Dixons - NOW THIS WAS DEFINITELY THE WAY TO SPEND EASTER - good food, great friends, hot tub (DON'T WORRY! IT WAS NOT HOT AT ALL SO WE GOT IN...it felt incredible!), the Masters - Can I spend Easter Sunday like this every year?  No driving, no casseroles...no fancy clothes or conversation and no family stress...just relaxation!!! And CRAZY that we are all having babies 5 weeks apart! SO FUN!

Late night outing -

On Wedneday night I made a frozen pizza for Chuck and I.  Clearly I did not get one big enough because Chuck at 9pm was complaining how HUNGRY he was.  You know that feeling...you just stand in front of the pantry and the fridge staring at it hoping something that sounds good magically appears in it.  So Chuck kept staring and said he was craving a banana.  Note - he is not the preggers one here with crazy cravings...I am!  So after 15 minutes he finally decided what sounded good...KEN'S CORNER GRILL! Now, Ken's is pretty much a waffle house right by our house...it's a waffle house with MUCH more charm, but still the same ole' waitresses :).  Wouldn't be the same without them.

3 months from now, we won't be able to just pop in the car at 9:45pm and go grab a bite to eat...so what did we do?  We ran up to Ken's and at 10:00pm, Chuck finished his ENTIRE PLATE of gravy & biscuits AND massive plate of hashbrowns covered in cheese, onions & chili....it was DISGUSTING and he was loving every minute of it.  I wish I had taken my camera in to snap a shot of his heart attack on a plate...but I was too embarrased!  Ok, ok...I had hashbrowns too, but only with cheese and onions....mmmmmm!  We had a blast and I CRASHED when we got home.

Weekend fun!

We had a great weekend and spent alot of time with friends and family!  We were FINALLY able to get together with Matt, Cara and Ellie - yummy tacos and good visiting was had by all!
Then we had "Early Easter" with my family...it's always a good time with the "Franklin / Henderson" fam!  And Nicole suprised us with some amazing news! She is pregnant with not one, but TWO babies!! TWINS!!! YAY!!!  We are so happy for them...Franklin family of four now!  Our big family vacation every other summer, HFT is going to be CRAZY! We will be up to 11 kids next year.  Enjoy some pics from our "Early Easter".

And after a LONG and fun weekend - this was how I spent my Monday night - it was amazing!  We no longer let Belle get up on the couch, but that is the only way I get good snuggle time with her.  Chuck let her get up and snuggle with my Monday night - we immediately fell asleep.  It was heaven - me and Belle spooning and holding hands!

ahhh...the Joys of a Library Card

You know you have gotten older when you go and get a library card!!!

Chuck and I live in the greatest city and LOVE our "small town" community feel we have where we live.  We live just down the street from the Smyrna Market Village which is pretty much the "square" in this town.  Today on my way from home from hanging out with Hollie I stopped by the Smyrna Market Village and now I am a PROUD owner of a library card...FREE BOOKS anytime! Does it get ANY BETTER??? Today I checked out Marley & Me and Sunset - the final book in the Baxter series of Karen Kingsbury.  Nothing like crappy weather, my NAP blanket and a good book!!!

Do you have a library card?? If not, you are crazy - get one!!

Tummy...

Please excuse me looking so SICK! The cold that I have now had for a week had just started...but had to get in a tummy pic for 24 weeks (taken last week).
